Introducing Artademics

Raindance Arts Academy will be introducing our signature model called Artademics.  Artademics isn’t just about teaching art – it’s about teaching through the arts.  Artademics fuses international arts exposure with core learning - blending rigorous academic instruction with deep artistic exploration, ensuring students express themselves with creative confidence in every subject, every day.

What will Artademics look like in practice?

  • Math Through Movement & Design: Students act out multiplication patterns using choreographed steps
  • Literacy Through Storytelling & Scriptwriting: First graders write and perform original puppet plays based on Phonics patterns; Fifth graders adapt myths into screenplays and shoot a short film
  • Science Through Set Creation & Special Effects: Students explore ecosystems by designing habitats as 3D theater backdrops
  • Social Studies Through Roleplay & Filmmaking: Historical events are reimagined as mock newscasts or mini documentaries

Most schools integrate arts as enrichment – Raindance Arts Academy will use arts as the foundation of learning.

Literacy – Reading and Writing

The Raindance Arts Academy will run a 120-minute literacy block daily for students in grades K-3 that includes reading, traditional writing, cursive writing, and Literacy Arts (constructing play scripts, narratives, poems, story books, etc.).  Older elementary students (grades 4-6) will have either a 90-minute or 120-minute literacy block daily based on the student’s needs and will include reading, traditional writing, cursive writing, and Literacy Arts.  We will be using a “Storytelling Curriculum” for all grades using Wonders for our core curriculum.

Studies Weekly will be used for Science, Social Studies, and Health.  Eureka Math will be our core curriculum for Math.

“Storytelling Curriculum”

Students learn through the lens of storytelling

Each grade level will study different parts of the world through stories, music, dance, drama, and art.  This type of supplemental curriculum integrates Social Studies, Literacy, Arts, and Drama.
